Shirli has a Bachelor of Arts and a LLB from UNSW and is a nationally accredited mediator.
She is the principal of Resolve Advisors established in 1996 which provides consultancy services specialising in dispute resolution and strategic group decision making to a client base in Australia and Internationally.
Shirli holds appointments as the Wholesale Energy Market dispute Resolution Advisor, the APRA AMCOS (music) resolution facilitator, a Senior Visiting Fellow at UNSW Law School and a (part time) Registrar of the Federal Circuits Court of Australia. Shirli also sits on a number of mediation panels and Dispute Resolution think tanks in Australia and Internationally.
She has received a number of awards and honours in her chosen field including being listed in Who’s Who legal mediation Australia (2015/6), the LEADR practitioner award NSW (2014) a SPAN telecommunications industry award for dispute resolution (2002). She formerly held positions as a non-executive director of Shalom Institute and Brain Resource Company as well as a position on NADRAC which was the advisory group to the Australian Federal Attorney General on dispute Resolution.
Prior to becoming a full time dispute resolution practitioner Shirli was a lawyer with Allen Allen & Hemsley and then Gilbert + Tobin in Sydney.
