Dolores Foley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Hawai`i. She received her Ph.D. from the School of Public Administration, University of Southern California. Her research and consulting areas focus on community planning, citizen participation, and governance of non-profit and community organizations. She teaches courses on community planning, social policy, and collaborative problem solving. She has published articles on organizational change, collaboration and social issues and produced reports, evaluations and studies for governmental and community organizations. Dr. Foley has worked as an evaluator and contractor for numerous multi-year grants for organizations such as Kellogg Foundation, The National Disaster Preparedness Training Center, NOAA and USAID. Much of her work has been centered on working with governmental and community organizations in developing organizational and individual capacities. Her work includes leadership, facilitation, mediation and communication workshops. She has been active in numerous community efforts and non-profit boards.
